ready for the next destination
Looking to explore wild terrain that’s well off the beaten path? The Australian Outback is about as remote as it gets. From awesome towering mountains to desert, animals that exist nowhere else in the world and the driest climate on earth- it’s both challenging and fascinating. If you’re looking to really ‘find yourself’ or are sick of the same old tourist spots, this is an adventure like no other. But just because it’s remote certainly doesn’t mean it’s boring. Here are a few exciting things you can do on your trip.
Go on a Cruise in Broome
Broome is a beach resort town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Known for it’s thriving pearl industry, it’s a tropical paradise of white sandy beaches and turquoise sea- set against a backdrop of stunning red mountains. You can enjoy the views from the waters by hiring a yacht or going on a cruise, you can find the best Kimberley cruises online. Something to consider if you’re visiting the region! Other fun things to do in Broome include visiting the Broome Bird Observatory, exploring Roebuck Bay and riding 4x4s on Cable Beach at low tide.

Go on a Camel Expedition in the Flinders Ranges
A camel expedition is the ultimate desert adventure. Out in The Flinders Ranges (the largest mountain range in South Australia) you can discover all kinds of indigenous animals and experience what remote Australia is really like. It’s a chance to enjoy being out in the wilderness away, far away from all of the stress and pressures of everyday life. Whether you go for a short overnight or two-day trek or a full ten-day adventure is up to you. Either way, it’s the experience of a lifetime. It’s sure to change your perspective on the world and is something you will remember forever.

Visit The Outback National Parks
There are a wide range of national parks in Australia, some being more popular with tourists and others mainly being used by the locals. In the outback, you could explore Purnululu National Park (also known as ‘Bungles’). Here you will see breathtaking orange and black striped domes- these really dominate the landscape and are one of Australia’s most unique land formations. You could go camping and sleep under the stars, take in the nature and wildlife and take incredible photos and watch the sunset from the Walanginjdji Sunset Lookout.

Hike Alice Springs
Popularly known as ‘The Alice,’ this remote town is a gateway for exploring the Red Centre- the country’s interior desert region. You can explore picturesque gorges, lush watering holes, and stunning red desert. Whether you want to go on a short walk or an overnight trail, there’s something for everyone in Alice Springs. Another stunning location perfect for snapping photos for your travel album.
